Health Equity Internship

The Health Equity Internship Program at SpringWell360 offers an immersive experience for MPH and clinical research students interested in addressing health disparities and promoting equity in healthcare. This program provides hands-on learning opportunities, mentorship from industry experts, and exposure to real-world projects aimed at improving health outcomes for underserved communities.

College Students

Internship Program Components:

  • Interns will participate in an orientation session to familiarize themselves with SpringWell360's mission, values, and ongoing projects. Training modules on health equity, social determinants of health, diversity in clinical trials, and community engagement will be provided.

  • Interns will work on meaningful projects focused on health equity under the guidance of experienced mentors. Projects may include community needs assessments, developing health education materials, conducting literature reviews, or assisting with research studies.

  • Each intern will be paired with a mentor who will provide guidance, support, and feedback throughout the internship. Mentors will help interns navigate their projects, develop professional skills, and explore career pathways in public health and clinical research.

  • Interns will have the opportunity to participate in fieldwork, community outreach events, or shadowing experiences to gain practical insights into addressing health disparities at the grassroots level.

  • Interns will have access to networking events, guest speaker sessions, and professional development workshops to connect with industry professionals, researchers, and community leaders working in the field of health equity.


Eligibility Criteria:

 

  • Enrolled in an MPH or clinical research program.

  • Strong interest in health equity, social justice, community-based research, and or clinical research.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.

  • Prior coursework or experience in public health, clinical research or related fields preferred.

Program Duration and Schedule:
